After not doing exercise for many years, I joined in January 2020 and have not looked back. I have been amazed at what I have achieved with the right mindset and encouragement from other members and the fabulous instructors. Any apprehension I initially felt was soon quashed by the welcoming team. I enjoy Blockfit, Boxfit, Getfit and Body blast classes. All exercises are adapted if you have medical issues or restrictions. There is no pressure to ‘keep up’ just encouragement to do the best you can within each class

I love my 1stepfitness family, and I’m still a newbie really. Rachel and Lee are so positive, motivating and helpful especially keeping members connected through the rubbishness that is 2020. My fave class is Pilates and my chronic back pain has all but disappeared through my weekly classes with Rachel – it was never a bother in the early days when she helped me and downgraded the moves for my safety, but pushed me to try the next steps when I was ready or needed an extra nudge to try something out. After 10 years of pain, 6months was nothing to turn it around and my back has just felt better and better.

The 1 Step Fitness team, Lee & Rachel have helped me realise that keeping fit can actually be fun, which is why I have stayed with them for many years. Along with other members we have laughed & cried our way through classes, supporting each other and making all new members feel welcome. Having the use of 2 sites gives more choice of classes and during lockdown we had fantastic help from Lee & Rachel who carried on with classes, chats and quizzes via zoom to keep us all in contact and help us stay healthy & sane. Lovely gym. Everyone is really friendly, classes are kept small and there are lots to choose from. There’s something to suit everybody, from yoga and Pilates through to strength and cardio classes. Great whether you’re a beginner or regular gym goer as classes are adapted to suit every fitness level. Can highly recommend!
